Diplomacy 4.litdum Reloaded! is a free-to-use game utility developed by user RedMythos for the role-playing game (RPG) Mount & Blade: Warband. This mod reworks most of the factions in the game in terms of diplomacy and skill mechanics, giving them overhauled tech trees that completely change the way you have to deal with each of them.

By completely changing the factions as well as the world’s resources, Diplomacy 4.litdum Reloaded! makes your gameplay experience totally different from the vanilla version. Other mods that drastically change Warband include Perisno and The Triple Alliance - Paraguayan War.

Changing the rules of the game

Diplomacy 4.litdum Reloaded! overhauls the Troop Tree, now featuring an Elite Branch, a Strong Branch, then an Alternative Branch. A similar system applies for in-game Mercenaries and manhunters, allowing these characters to evolve into different paths and specializations. However, the costs are also realigned, making it more expensive to train certain units compared to others. This adds a strategic layer to the game instead of just hiring and mass-training.

It also changes the resource system, adding certain buffs for premium items like honey while making food and grains more accessible. This also reflects in the drop rate of each item when you kill bandits roaming around. On the diplomacy aspect, the lords in Warband are also rebalanced in terms of AI behavior and army sizes, boasting larger armies than in the base game.

With all these system changes, the game almost immediately becomes difficult. Players report that the developers’ attempt to rebalance the game makes it almost unsustainable in the long run. Also, other factions tend to focus on a single weapon type, which can make them either insanely strong or unbelievably weak. Of course, this depends on the player–if you like challenges, then it’s for you.
